If you are looking for a good alternative for managing emails, Postbox is something worth trying. It is a lightweight and efficient email client, with simple and easy to understand controls. The software allows you to manage your email messages from one or more accounts, on a single user interface. Furthermore, you can have it up and running on your Mac and set up your mail folders in no time.

One of the best features that Postbox has to offer is the automatic IMAP and SMTP setup. All you have to do is type in your address and password and the application will detect its corresponding IMAP or POP3 and SMTP settings automatically. This eliminates the need to look up a service's specific settings, which allows even novice users to import their accounts without any difficulties.

Postbox displays your mail folders on its main user interface like all other mail clients. You can access your inbox, outbox and other folders in a column, on the left side of the interface. Received messages and other items are listed next to this column, on the right side and you can view the actual messages and attached files further to the right. The application allows you to create your own folders and move your messages by simply dragging and dropping them over another folder.

Besides sifting through received messages, you can also filter out all To-do lists, attachments and images from a selected folder. It is also possible to filter messages by attributes, like attachments, read or unread and so on, by topic, date and other criteria.
